Rest, Recover, Taking a Break
Taking a break and not powering through work all the time is necessary. Determination is great. Consistency is great. However so is self care and slowing down. If there is not a balance and adjustment for events in life, burnout can be around the corner.
While I could write some super motivational post today… This is kind of an announcement. Not quitting, if someone noticed I haven’t finished a few things on the website. I do have a life off the internet despite being agoraphobic. Even though I am not “super woman” anymore that drive never left me and I can easily have too much ambition all at once.
Making this website, blog, stores, art, photos etc blah blah blah almost all on my own has been quite the adventure. I will get back to cleaning up the website and fixing some merchandise that apparently needs adjusting due to store changes an is now unavailable. So many things I could list. Right now, me the human behind the screen is physically exhausted. Several flares and flashbacks due to excess stress, some provoked on purpose trying to work through my own healing journey. Also, medical things happening. I just want to let any readers know, I am okay. Just need to take a step back for the moment. Rest and recover from a few things going on.
Know your limits before the crash. Take the time to sit back. Yes, I am one of those people who sitting still can feel like I am being absolutely lazy. Yet since being diagnosed with several autoimmune diseases over ten years ago, I have had to learn to slow down and set aside my zippy nature and just be in the moment on a much slower pace. Drives me up the wall some days. Physically I have no say in it some times. It is what it is.
While some of you reading might not be experiencing such an extreme situation. You matter too, your problems matter. Take time for you, you deserve to be loved, cared for especially by your own hand. Take some time and try not rushing everything. Might just find, its not so bad after all and the world isn’t going to implode if you stop.
Slow down, notice beauty in not getting everything done or being perfect.
Its okay to freeze life for a moment. Photo below is an Iceland white poppy…
there is something pure in stillness of the storm, a burst of light or enlightenment in the pause.
