Competing Copycat vs. Inspirational Authentic
As the title of this post says: Competition, Jealousy, Envy, Copycat vs. Inspiration and Authentic Let’s lightly discuss this. Straight forwardly. There is this weird fever illness of copying each other maybe it was learned from all the re-post and share things on social media I don’t know.
You can look up the genuine meaning of these words and there’s plenty of psychology and religious writings out there on this topic. Start there, might be fun to see if you know the actual meanings. Language is kind of funny and meanings of words shift over time or get misused to the point we may not realize what we are saying or doing.
Now that you looked them up, I will give my opinion on the matter.
Competition, unless you are actively in a sport or competitive agreement that all parties willingly agreed to participate… best to not view the other person(s) as competition. Only person in regular day to day life you should be trying to be better than is yourself from yesterday. This means try to better yourself daily. Anything you are unhappy with work on making that part of you better. Always working towards the best you, that you can be.
Being jealous, envious or in an illusion of competition with someone that did not agree to it, may more than likely hurt you in the long run. Do you really know what that person went through to get where they are? Be careful what you ask for, it may not be what you thought.
Please please in a world that thrives on copying each other. Do not copy. Besides can be lawfully trouble for you with ownership, and copyright laws, it is just unfair to yourself as much as the person you copied. Being inspired by someones work is great, but put your spin on it. Use your authentic ways you have to the thing you liked so much you wanted to copy it. Otherwise you are depriving yourself and the world of the real you. That is the tragic truth on copying.
Example if you copy a person could need the income for reasons they do not say outright. You copying them instead of sharing and celebrating them, you could be hurting a person that doesn’t deserve to be hurt. Sure there are people out there that doesn’t give a darn and hurt people for giggles. Do you really want to be that person? Do you really want something like that done to you? Answer is probably a loud no. So, stop it. Be true to yourself, celebrate each other, lift each other by sharing in their success and inspire each other. The world needs you, not a duplicate of someone else.
Be brave, be yourself, don’t know yourself? Well there is a journey for you to do. Find the inspiration and put you into the world. It will feel a whole lot better than pretending in the long run. In my eyes, its a sad sickness in this world that people want to be someone else other than themselves. I would love nothing more than to see ya all shine, but I want you to shine not be a reflection of someone else.
Like the Feverfew in this photograph. Copying and jealousy of people instead of being your authentic self can look nice
(it looks similar to Chamomile) and alleviate pain temporarily but tastes bitter in reality is not the same as Chamomile at all.
Look closer to the differences and celebrate the differences Chamomile and Feverfew bring to the world separately.
you: psst… the image is upside down, me whispering back: yes, its on purpose.
