Rant: Imagination & Intuition
Maybe you noticed a lot of designed merchandise has certain sayings. One in particular; “when imagination and intuition collide.” This was formed through a conversation between friends and the debate on beliefs. While I won’t push faith or religious views, for context this was a discussion that took place about believing in God vs science and other ideas. It took place in a forum where God wasn’t allowed to be talked about so after it being said its a delusional belief to believe in something that has no evidence. Limited by what could and could not be responded, I chose tongue and cheek response of I just know with my imagination and intuition.
The saying goes deeper than that, it was only a reason to choose those specific words. I may not be able to fully articulate the depth of it in words. But reveal insight on certain events experienced online for you to draw your conclusions of what I truly mean with this phrase and how its meant to encourage strength to believe in yourself even with everything against you.
Here is a rant I posted a while back, I had felt like people with large followings were misguiding people and creating space for vulnerable people to be harmed further:
“Pedantic me about to rant…
Strongly disagree with the pop up professionals that are saying trust your gut is bad advice. This is incorrect. The advice is sound.
It’s whether or not you are listening to you intuition or your trained behavior of wounds is the difference between it turning out positive for the person. Even if something doesn’t go your way doesn’t mean it’s bad for you.
If following your authentic self, even on the way to healing, is in fact how people learn and grow. Tell someone to not learn from their own mistakes and need a professional is the kind of dependency that creates controlling dominance over someone and a false sense they can’t make a decision for themselves.
Felt like my intuition screamed for a moment. I feel much better now.
Stop giving bad advice about bad advice if you can’t comprehend the complexity and consequences of your vague general statements.
Yup. I just said that. Thanks. Toodles.”
Twisting reality for dishonest reasons, below also is something I needed to vent about as I can not remove that I have noticed things that were meant to help going very wrong.
This isn’t for those that need help but you may find relatable.
I have had quite enough of it. The thing is, people broke me. I pulled myself back up and put myself back together enough to see things for what it really is. I won’t stand by and watch people be preyed on without speaking up on these topics.
I am quite tired of the new fad to call people with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder a narcissist. By definition are survivors of trauma, a result from traumatic events but also predatory personality types that include narcissists. IF you are one of those people, you have zero right to turn the people who hurt people into the victim and frame into a monster. The abusers do that enough without your help, thank you.
There is many examples & evidence of different disorders whether anxiety, or social behaviors is a real response to being abused NOT being the abuser. Yes, being angry looks bad. This does not mean the person is. This is where abusers use their reactions from finally having enough as proof they’re crazy or the villain. Know the difference. Twisting truth to make injured people look like monsters is a disgusting behavior trend. Stop doing it.
I have been diagnosed by multiple professionals. None of what I say is self diagnostic. I may have made mistakes and been a jerk in my past, having emotions and being completely confused is not the same as being a cluster B, predatory type person. To call someone who is already traumatized some diagnostic label while plastering your face everywhere is quite ironic.
I acknowledge there could be one out there that is a narcissist and have these disorders or taken on traits of their abuser but its far more likely not the case that they are the narcissist or a cluster B type. If the people in their life were to be investigated very likely to find one. Or several. Don’t take a small percent of results and blanket over the whole. It is ethically and morally wrong, and some part of you knows it but want to justify your wounds and feelings by painting the rest the same. This will not heal your wounds. It will sour them.
People traumatized with-draw, and isolate. develop anxiety disorders and a plethora of health issues. We used to find sanctuary on the internet, able to share stories or at least find an escape once in a while. Now having people spout things they sometimes admit know nothing about and poorly fit or qualified to make such claims…. who come off as predators, are everywhere trying to turn the blame. I’d love for some people take a much deeper look at some of these supposedly knowledgeable “helpful” individuals. Some have out right admitted they’re predators subtly.
In society today, people are encouraged to say things that are hurtful and patted on the back. You want a gold star? Here have one. Feels a bit empty once you actually look at the truth that seeking validation outside yourself to be popular. You might be covered in gold stars, but looking in the mirror and seeing all that shine is hiding the amount you have given away underneath at the expense of yourself.
Givers run on an empty cup if over give, but can be refilled if they learn. It is much more difficult for a taker to truly see the truth, admit it even to themselves and fill their own-self. Givers aren’t the weak ones. That is the illusion.
This past few years I have been taking measures to over come my fears and phobias, to help others as well as myself. To show its not hopeless, there is possible healing. The more you heal the abusers try to attack and ruin you, if still in your life. I recommend finding a safe way to remove them from your life or heal in silence until you are safe to do so. Do not confront them. They will take everything and continue to destroy anything you attempt to build.
You got my attention, and now I am going to speak up.
I may revisit these topics. Might change my views on parts as I change. Life is about learning and moving forward even if it feels like you’re going no where. I can be wrong. And that is the journey… not only seeing the other people for what is really there. Its acknowledgment your part whether innocent, a bit bitter, angry, sad or even possibly the bad guy in the moment. No one wants to be the bad guy in the story. But look at things like you might be, and you might just see a whole new world you have been walking in. This is the embodiment of put yourself in their shoes. It doesn’t mean become them. Its see that you could be them and choose not to be.
This takes trusting your imagination and intuition even if a little bit and work from there.
Not all my posts will be this big. A heavy foundation is a necessary action to build on. I am not some fancy professional. I am a person, sitting at a desk trying to be as raw and honest as I can be. The thoughts and opinions you form are yours. I know my mind, know my intentions, my conscience is very crystal clear. (For those wounded, that took years to accomplish and wipe away self blame, guilt and replace it with acknowledgment and peace knowing I am no longer the person that made those mistakes or the person who punished herself for things that was made to believe she was guilty of.)
Now the weight of this rant is lifting. May you too be-able to release burdens that are not yours to carry.
