Why Begin to Speak
It is about to begin.
I wrote Begin to Speak, when the dew drops as a guide and tool to help people get through difficult issues. Whether they chose to work with a professional mental health provider or alone. The book was designed in a way for the reader to discover they are having an internal dialogue with themselves, and not someone telling them how to feel or what to do exactly. A collection of what thoughts became break through and written in a way to discover truth. The title itself is meant the reader to hear their true inner voice and heal. Its not really about telling anyone besides yourself, that is up to you if you do. It can be helpful to hear yourself say some things out loud in the company of someone trusted and safe environment.
It is written with the experience of true struggles, terrors even in life, experience with therapy off and on since early 2000s, self research into psychological matters in attempt to heal myself with understanding and guidance received from a master resiliency trainer.
While resiliency is normally focus on team work, leadership and communications, I took this guidance with my own experiences and created the work book and coloring book as a genuine tool in hopes that someone can use it, learn from it and not suffer needlessly, as I had for over twenty years.
I am not fully healed. I may never be, but I haven’t given up trying and have come large strides in a handful of years. The biggest changes taking place within a little over a year now. Not as a badge of pride or for sympathy, but I will tell you parts about me slowly in this blog. I have had agoraphobia and PTSD since the early 2000s, it doesn’t have me. This is not my earliest trauma dates that is when I was diagnosed. Do not take that as there is no hope. Quite the opposite, if I have suffered from failed therapy sessions, neglect, abuse in multiple ways, failure to understand what was hindering my progress, my parts I played in it all and am still alive and keep going there is absolutely hope.
I did not set out planning to tell my story at all. I was very opposed to the idea, fearing I may traumatize people. The more time I spend online, I am realizing people are needing someone who truly does understand and need some hope and guidance.
Over time I hope to bring you along my journey and knowledge so maybe you never reach the level of needed repair as I have. I am no hero. But if I can bring healing comfort to even just one person who really wants it. Then it was absolutely worth the pain and suffering and efforts to build strength to come this far.
Part of me decided to not only start this blog to help people work through the book in parts with me, as I am aware of the lost trust in a lot. I am not a mental health professional. However, I have discussed many topics with professionals that I will talk about The work book was also reviewed by a professional as well. Hopefully me providing the book and more here, gives you the confidence that I am not some nut spouting nonsense that heard some popular phrase on the internet and ran with it. Not going to happen.
I will tell you its not an easy path. If you haven’t removed yourself from danger, please do so. Be aware that as you heal not only will you be more aware, but the people around you will change too. People that may have seemed safe may become a source of toxicity. Please prepare yourself before taking this journey. You will see this warning in many posts, more than, likely.
